About HOMEX > Mission

HOMEX was founded in 2005 to provide preventive home maintenance and professional construction management services. The company's founders recognized an unmet need among homeowners and real estate investors for a more professional, reliable and cost-effective alternative to the 'handyman-for-hire' scenario that so often leads to negative experiences and runaway costs. 

Based on their own construction and maintenance industry expertise and close working relationships cultivated with real estate, construction and insurance industry experts, the founders formulated a new business model focused on preventive maintenance. 

HOMEX became the first company of its kind to provide complete interior and exterior preventive home maintenance as a managed service to its customers. The new service could be tailored to each specific homeowner's or investor's needs, and replace reactive emergency repairs with planned proactive services in order to bring great value, satisfaction and peace of mind to the owner.  HOMEX markets its services through The HOMEX Network, San Francisco Bay Area professional businesses and service providers familiar with the quality of our service. The company also provides professional construction management for its customers' home remodels, additions and major repairs.

Our service organization

  • Company Leadership – Guiding Home Maintenance and Construction Management Services, including CEO and Chief Construction Officer who oversee all business strategy, planning and operations for the company.
  • Service Team – Lead and Staff Service Technicians include bonded journeymen of various specializations who also possess experience and understanding of overall home systems. Teams are assigned to specific homes so they are familiar with owner preferences and particulars of the home and the service plan for that home. 
  • The HOMEX Network – Business Professionals and Service Providers. Authorized representatives of HOMEX. Business professionals may include real estate agents, brokers and companies; insurance agents, brokers and companies; home loan agents, brokers and companies; and other professionals. Service Providers may include home improvement retailers, builders, licensed contractors, and other service providers.
  • Construction Crew - Project Manager and crew are licensed contractors with general contractor experience as well as mastery of specific trades.
